Vinschgau

In the west of South Tyrol, the Val Venosta stretches from Naturno near Merano to the Resia Pass, where the Adige river rises and a steeple towers in the waters of Lake Resia. Hardly could a holiday area be more varied: Apple orchards and apricot trees on the one side, rough mountain peaks and glaciers on the other side, the most famous of which is of course King Ortles
